The wheels on the bus!
After a tough year for many children, SPS, with the support of Hinkley Point C, were delighted to provide the transport for Stogursey Primary School’s end of term trip to the seaside.
An SPS coach loaded with children and staff from Stogursey Primary School and Little Acorns Pre-School set off from Stogursey on a much anticipated trip to Minehead Beach on the morning of Wednesday 16th July. It’s not clear quite who was most excited – the children, the teachers .. or perhaps it was Jim the driver!
The weather was glorious and the children were delighted to find a colourful bucket provided by SPS waiting for each of them on their seat on the coach. A set of chatty, happy children emerged from the bus on Minehead Esplanade and were soon to be seen paddling on the edge of the water, splashing, digging in the sand and finding all sorts of treasures to pop in their bucket and delight their family when they got home!
The party re-joined the bus after a fun 3 hours in Minehead and enjoyed their journey back to Stogursey. Everyone enjoyed a rousing rendition of “The Wheels on the Bus” on the way home! The journey to and from the beach was an adventure in itself for the children as many had never been on a bus or coach before.
