International Women’s Day takes place on Tuesday 8 March 2022. Its a day to call for action to improve women’s equality. This year focuses on breaking the bias that some women face.
Why is it important?
It’s a global day for celebrating the achievements of women and encourages us to consider gender equality in all areas of our life and the workplace. For SPS, it gives us the opportunity to:
- challenge preconceptions about women working in the transport industry
- tackle bias, stereotypes and discrimination
- raise awareness of how SPS tackles gender inequality
To mark this day and show our support, we asked our team about the importance of gender balance and what it means to them.
Please take a moment to view our photo book below containing our collective ideas about why gender equality is important to us as an organisation and as colleagues.
At Somerset Passenger Solutions we work hard to create an environment where all colleagues are supported, respected and treated equally. We are one team and we are proud to support this years #BreakTheBias campaign.
If you would like to be part of our team, check out our list of current vacancies. We would love to hear from you.
