Simon Cursio
Our MD, Simon Cursio, has to date had a varied career in the passenger transport industry.
Simon has overseen the growth of the business since he took the reigns in 2018, and is proud to see it achieve its bold ambition to be ‘the leading choice for specialist passenger transportation.
“Together with our client and partners, we are proud to play our role in the greatest project on the globe at Hinkley Point C nuclear construction site.
We are dedicated to delivering the best possible service to our client and passengers to help play our part in contributing to the energy security of the UK which will eventually power 6 million homes for decades to come.

Simon Mohammad
Working in the bus industry for 25 years, our HPC Account Director Simon Mohammad has worked for SPS for 3 years. Initially joining as Operations Director Simon is now our Account Director.
Simon has led significant operational improvements over the last 3 years, focusing on outstanding service delivery through a culture of people focused management. Simon has embraced the culture and values of the HPC Project as well as the importance of the project in the wider national context.

Jess Ingram
Jess Ingram, People Director, joined SPS in December 2020 as our HR and Training Manager and has over 20 years of People Management and HR experience.
Previously from a retail background, Jess has brought a wealth of practical experience to improve the colleague experience and make SPS a truly people centric business.
Jess has a passion for people development and equality, diversity and inclusion and her vision is to ensure that all colleagues feel welcome, included and that they can bring their true selves to work without fear.
“I am so proud to be leading the people agenda for SPS and am determined to use my position to improve working lives for our colleagues; through a positive culture, great people development and consistent and fair processes. Working closely with both the Hinkley Point C project and First Bus is such a fantastic way for us to create opportunities for our colleagues and build sustainable future skills and careers, with a commitment to our Social Value responsibilities in the local area. Marc Atkins-Turley
Marc Atkins-Turley, Commercial Director, joined SPS in April 2024 and has over 20 years of Commercial and Business Strategy experience. Drawing on a diverse range of public transport experience gained whilst working for three of the UK’s largest public transport groups, National Express, Stagecoach and currently First Bus. Marc is able to utilise a breadth of skills across Business to Consumer (B2C) and Business to Business (B2B) markets and most recently in the Political policy space, Marc brings a wealth of practical experience to complement the significant commercial and customer focussed currently embedded with SPS

Martin Webb
Martin Webb is our Head of Business Services and joined SPS in 2021 having worked regionally and nationally gaining valuable experience in a wide range of sectors including Telecommunications, Construction and Social Housing.
Martin and his team support the organisation in all matters; safety, health, environmental, security, emergency preparedness and facilities.

Chloe Way
I started at SPS in April 2022 as Insight and Performance Manager, and now my role has developed into Head of Data Analytics. My role is accountable for delivering business intelligence across the business to support effective decision making. I have a superb team of data analytics, we work together to implement data projects, drive technological change and support our colleagues across the business. My previous background in retail had many transferable skills in data analysis and digital leadership which I have brought to my role at SPS.
Nick Cornford
I am dedicated to fostering the skills of others and taking immense pride in watching individuals succeed.
Beginning my career in hospitality, I transitioned into the logistics sector, where I have amassed over 13 years of experience in driver safety and compliance, primarily with Tesco. This extensive background has equipped me with a deep understanding of the industry’s challenges and a commitment to enhancing road and driver safety standards.
Beyond professional pursuits, I enjoy the outdoors, particularly mountain biking. Additionally, I find joy in coaching youth football and currently coach for the Shepton Mallet U10 team, emphasising teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth among young athletes.
Jenny MacLeod
Jenny MacLeod joined SPS in June 2021 and has an enabling role supporting all the teams within SPS to deliver project plans and initiatives which will see SPS grow and develop.
Jenny joined the FirstBus Graduate Management scheme straight from University in 1996. She spent most of her career in First’s West of England Business in various roles including General Manager and Operations Director. Jenny’s most recent role before joining SPS was as Operational Improvement Manager for First Bus, supporting Operating Company teams in embedding best practice processed to deliver improved business performance and ultimately profit.

Louise Atkins
As the Head of People at SPS, my journey within the company has been both rewarding and empowering. Starting as an HR Support Manager in April 2021, I experienced firsthand how SPS invests in its people. From day one, I’ve felt encouraged to grow, develop, and push boundaries in my career. The support I’ve received along the way has not only allowed me to enhance my own skills but has also inspired me to ensure that others feel the same sense of empowerment.
At SPS, we believe that everyone should feel excited about coming to work and confident in the opportunities available to them. My passion lies in creating an environment where employees are engaged, supported, and motivated to reach their full potential. It’s incredibly fulfilling to help shape a culture where everyone can thrive, just as I have been able to in my career here.

James Macleod
James MacLeod, Finance Manager, joined the SPS team in April 2023 with ten years of audit and accountancy experience, working both in practice and in industry. Having previously worked in financial services, entertainment and education, James brings diverse experience and a broad skillset to the SPS financial and commercial team, ensuring robust financial governance and reporting processes that bring the best outcomes for the business and its stakeholders.

David Porter
David Porter, Head of Engineering, has been with SPS since 2020 and has over 45 years’ experience in bus engineering, working in many engineering management roles during this time.
David is responsible for ensuring that the engineering team provide our operational colleagues with sufficient safe and reliable vehicles, to meet their operational requirement, on each and every occasion.

Jade Watson
My journey at SPS began in November 2021 as HPC Operations Manager, and my role has since developed into the Head of Operations. I began my career in the bus industry as a Graduate Management Trainee and prior to joining SPS spent 5 years working for First Bus in the West of England area. I am proud to lead the largest department at SPS, which consists of Operations Managers, Duty Managers, Supervisors and Drivers, all of which deliver above and beyond each day to ensure our customers receive the highest level of service.
