Making a Difference: Helping at Secret Wildlife Rescue

Supporting the local community

Colleagues from across SPS visited Secret World Wildlife Rescue on 18th September as part of our local volunteering initiative.

Based in Highbridge, Secret World Wildlife Rescue is a rescue centre for orphaned and injured British wildlife. They help over 5,000 animals every year,  rehabilitate them and return them to the wild wherever possible.

Our team spent the day with the rescue team helping with various gardening and maintenance tasks.

The team enjoyed the day and commented:

“”Being outdoors and doing physical work was a nice change from being in the office!  It was therapeutic to switch off from everything else and just focus on the task in hand. The warm, sunny weather also helped to make the day enjoyable”.

“I love nature and it was rewarding to contribute to our local wildlife rescue centre whilst spending time with colleagues”.

“The work was varied maintenance work & included digging, raking and general gardening so we all got a free workout in the process!”

“Spending time with the team at Secret World today was eye-opening. Witnessing the hard work and dedication that goes into maintaining these hidden gems was truly humbling. The unsung heroes in our local community are amazing, and being a small part of this today was incredible. Thank you, Secret World, for having us!”.
At SPS, we believe in giving back and making a difference. Our dedication to supporting the local community and charities reflects our mission to make a positive impact beyond business endeavours. By engaging in initiatives like these, SPS strives to foster a culture of compassion and generosity within the community we serve.
